"The Coming Terror of Darkness: Struggle of the Eight Guardians" is the 35th episode of the 3rd season of the Sailor Moon anime, and the 124th episode overall. It aired in Japan on February 4, 1995. The English dub title for this episode is "Who's Really Who?" and it aired in North America on July 27, 2000.
Summary[]
The Sailor Soldiers' are in pinch with dozens of monsters and attempt to teleport inside the heart Mugen Academy. Detecting the Holy Grail's presence nearby, Mistress 9 disguises as Hotaru to abduct Sailor Moon and convinces her Hotaru's consciousness has "returned."
Elsewhere, Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto arrive in a helicopter but are attacked by Daimon as well. To save them all, Sailor Pluto uses her forbidden time-freezing ability to enable Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune to escape alive.

- The Daimons couldn't emerge from their eggs without posessing a host.
- When Sailor Pluto used Time Stop, it was during the battle against the Black Moon clan to prevent the Silver Crystals from the future and the past from touching.
- Germatoid was Professor Tomoe's Daimon identity and he was not a different concience possessing him. Also, Germatoid got a more humanoid-monster form and he never used artificial bodies to figth.
- Super Sailor Moon and Sailor Pluto were present in the figth against Germatoid.
- Professor Tomoe was killed in this figth by Rainbow Moon Heartache and he was not released from the Death Busters since no one was possessing him.
- Using the power of their respective talismans, Sailor Uranus, Neptune and Pluto create a strong shield around Mugen Academy to prevent the spread of Pharaoh 90's darkness.

- It's unknown if Pluto died because using Time Stop or she died in the explosion of the helicopter.
- When dealing against the multiple of Germatoid, Sailor Uranus' fighting style is focusing on the kicks which are later used against Sailor Moon in Episode 126.
- The blade of Sailor Uranus' Space Sword is shown to be red as seen on her posters and her anime depiction. But when she unsheaths the sword, the red blade glows in a golden yellow light and it was used to stab Germatoid's eye to kill him and later seasons she will use her second ability, Space Sword Blaster.
- When Sailor Neptune uses her Deep Aqua Mirror in this episode, she uses her second ability Submarine Reflection to find the real Germatoid within the multiple versions of it to make Sailor Uranus kills it with her Space Sword.
- This is the final time, Usagi, Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako are seen in their primary school uniforms before transforming to their Senshi forms.
