Soldiers of the Four Guardian Deities

Soldiers of the Four Guardian Deities is the official name given to the team of the four sailors Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and their leader, Venus. The full title is rarely used, and is usually shortened to the "Guardian Senshi". Fans often use the title "Inner Senshi" to refer to the group. They protect Neo-Queen Serenity, in the case of war or attack. Before Usagi transformed into Princess Serenity, Venus pretended to be the Moon Princess to stall time. The Guardian Senshi are the four sailor soldiers discovered after Sailor Moon (Neo-Queen Serenity), therefore, guarding the mighty Neo-Queen Serenity from any harm seen. They are also Princesses Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus. They protect her because, once she becomes Princess Serenity, her power to transform into Sailor Moon is discarded.
