Shiho Niiyama was a Japanese voice actress who voiced Kou Seiya/Sailor Star Fighter in the first anime series.

She was also known for voicing Deedlit from Record of Lodoss War and Momoji Kagariya in Starship Girl Yamamoto Yoko.[1]

Shiho was hospitalized sometime in July 1998 with leukemia. She died on February 7, 2000 from internal bleeding following pneumonia.


  • She was actually friends with Megumi Ogata, and the two met at a music class. She was also friends with Rumi Kasahara.
  • She was 163.5cm or about 5'5".[2]
  • Shiho's signature actually appeared on a board in episode 189 of the anime.
