Shield is a youma summoned by Queen Mio along with its partner, Sword in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, to assist her efforts to re-create the Dark Kingdom in the Special Act.

Shield rarely attacked, and like his name states was mostly used for defensive purposes. Shield and Sword attacked Prince Endymion and the Shitennou and every time Endymion attempted to attack Sword, Shield would step in and take the blow, seemingly taking no damage.
