Summary[]

A young woman named Rei Hino possesses exceptionally strong spiritual powers and attracts attention to mothers who angrily accuse her as the one responsible for abducting their children due to her ability to detect supernatural activity. Usagi, however, is intrigued by the young priestess's beauty and goes to meet her. Luna suspects that Rei may be the long-lost princess or even the third Sailor Senshi.

Plot[]

In the Dark Kingdom, Jadeite is degraded by Queen Beryl for his recent failures. Another warrior, Nephrite, boasts that he could do better. As the warriors gather around the queen, they question as to what the Silver Crystal is. She informs them itā€˜s a source of endless energy, the one possessing it controls the entire universe. Jadeite is given one last chance to redeem himself by completing this mission. A priestess meditates before a fire, sensing evil is coming.

In class, Umino and other students discuss a Demon Bus that passes through Sendaizaka. Rumour says the 6:00 PM bus has a curse upon it, and boarding means you will disappear, never to be seen again.

At the arcade, Luna speaks to Ami about her mission while Usagiā€™s distracted by the new Sailor V Game. She educates Ami on the need to locate the Princess and the Silver Crystal. After Usagi completes a stage, a prize of bracelets fall from the machine. Ami prepares to leave early for cram school, when Usagi decides to ride the bus with her for company.

Ami points out a beautiful girl who works at the shrine; Rei from T.A. Girls Academy who rides this bus too. Usagi is entranced upon laying eyes on her, and follows her to Sendai Hill even after Ami departs. Walking into Hikawa Shrine, she's attacked by two crows. This leads Rei to believe thereā€™s an evil presence descending upon the shrine. She apologises for the misunderstanding and wonders why they reacted that way all of a sudden..

Miiā€™s mother and her friends are seen praying at the shrine, revealing Mii has gone missing. They first request help due to Reiā€™s powers, but grow suspicious sheā€™s to blame. Rei suspects the Demon Bus, and recites that riding the Sendaizaka route when it pulls up at the Hikawa Shrine bus stop at 6:00 PM, risks being "Spirited Away".

The next day at school, thereā€™s word about more people going missing. Usagi rests near a tree with Ami, and suggests going to consult Rei. Luna replies that she was planning on it, as Rei seems to be someone special. As they ride the bus to Sendai Hill, Usagi regrets Ami not being there in case something were to happen. Luna informs her Ami can still be contacted, as the bracelets she won earlier are Communicators. Mamoru, who takes a seat next to them, asks Usagi who sheā€™s having a conversation with. He reveals heā€™s a student at Moto-Azabu High School, and that he too has heard about the Demon Bus.

Miiā€™s mother and her friends desperately beg Rei use her spiritual powers to track Mii. They immediately accuse her of causing the disappearances when she refuses by telling them her powers donā€™t work that way. Usagi gets there just in time to hear the argument, and defends Rei by saying sheā€™s a beautiful girl, inside and out. Rei snaps hearing this, and yells at the women to leave. She admits to Usagi that people have always acted coldly towards her because of her spiritual powers since she was a child.

Rei meditates before her fire again at the shrine, this time receiving a vision of a man on the bus grabbing Usagi and senses danger. She chases after Usagi, when a bus slows down beside her. She notices the driverā€™s the same man from her vision, but is too late as he swiftly causes her to faint.

As Usagi and Luna who are down the street, see the bus pass, laying eyes on an unconscious Rei inside. Witnessing the bus start to disappear into thin air, she transforms into a stewardess using the Disguise Pen. Usagi grabs onto the fading bus before itā€™s completely submerged. Luna fails to hold on, landing in Tuxedo Mask's arms, who appears due to the commotion. Jadeite brings his hostages to the Dark Kingdom, and plans on luring the Sailor Guardians into a trap. Usagi in the Dark Kingdom, speaks to Luna and Ami through their communicators, informing her to transform into Sailor Moon.

The two confront Jadeite, who bends down to glance over Rei. He turns to face them, naming himself before throwing Usagi backwards. Sailor Mercury uses Aqua Mist, though ineffective against him. They are both rendered powerless as Jadeite freezes them, when Rei wakes amongst the commotion, asking why Usagi saved her. Rei dashes towards Jadeite and grabs his arm as the Mars symbol appears on her forehead. Luna throws her a pen, encouraging her to transform, as the third Sailor Guardian.

Sailor Mars is happy she finally knows the reason she was born with the powers she had come to hate so much. Sailor Moon performs Moon Tiara Boomerang which traps Jadeite inside of it. Sailor Mars performs her newest action, Akuryo Taisan, and engulfed by flames Jadeite is defeated. Back at the shrine the hostages begin to wake up. Usagi, Ami, and Luna welcome Rei to the team, whoā€˜s happy she has finally gained new friends.
