"Protect Chibi-Usa: Clash of the Ten Warriors" is the 22nd episode of the 2nd season of the Sailor Moon anime and the 68th episode overall. It aired in Japan on September 11, 1993. The DiC English dub title for this episode is "Naughty 'N' Nice" and it aired in North America on November 15, 1995.
Summary[]
Chibiusa tries to go back to the future because she feels that she doesn't belong in the present, but Koan and Berthier surprise and attack her. She manages to escape, but later Rubeus and the Spectre Sisters battle against Sailor Moon and the other four Sailor Guardians who try to protect Chibiusa.
Plot[]
Wiseman contacts Rubeus and reports that the assault by the Black Moon Clan in the future is not going well. They tried attacking the Crystal Palace with a fleet of their spaceships, but found their assault repulsed by four female warriors, the future Sailor Senshi.
Back in the present, Rubeus dispatches the Spectre Sisters to find Chibiusa and eliminate the present Sailor Senshi so their future selves cease to exist. At the same time, Chibiusa runs away after overhearing some disrespectful comments from Usagi. She tries returning to the future, but is refused. In her distressed state, she inadvertently alerts the Spectre Sisters to her location, and is attacked by Koan and Berthier. Although Luna-P tries to protect Chibiusa, it is soon smacked away by Koan, only for Luna herself to appear to buy Chibiusa time to escape, but not without being severely injured in the process before Koan and Berthier fix their faces and take off after Chibiusa again. Luna manages to limp to the Hikawa Shrine to warn the Sailor Senshi of Chibiusa's situation, and the Senshi take off to help Chibiusa while Luna stays behind to be tended to by Artemis.
Usagi follows Chibiusa to a construction site, and overhears her using Luna-P to communicate with Sailor Pluto. However, the Spectre Sisters soon arrive, this time all four together at once, and Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon to protect Chibiusa. Before the Spectre Sisters can attack Sailor Moon or Chibiusa, the other Sailor Senshi arrive, and a battle royale takes place as each Senshi faces her Spectre Sister counterpart: Mars vs Koan, Mercury vs Berthier, Venus vs Calaveras, and Jupiter vs Petz.
During all this, Rubeus himself arrives to abduct Chibiusa, and attacks her and Sailor Moon. Luckily, Tuxedo Mask arrives and is able to distract Rubeus long enough for Sailor Moon to attempt to attack him with Moon Princess Halation with the Cutie Moon Rod. The Spectre Sisters are horrified, fearing that Rubeus was hit, but he either avoided or survived the attack, and calls a retreat.
Now realizing that the Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Mask are on her side and want to protect her, Chibiusa is very grateful. Meanwhile, back on Nemesis, Wiseman finally sees the connection between Sailor Moon and her future self, Neo-Queen Serenity.

Changes[]
Changes From the Manga[]
- The Sailor Guardians never fought the four Spectre Sisters at the same time. Rubeus also did not fight alongside the sisters, but usually arrived after a sister was killed to abduct a Senshi the sister had imprisoned.
Dub Changes[]
- This episode was not aired in Sweden, because the studio in charge of that dub didn't want to air singing in a foreign language.[1]
- The scene where Usagi finds Chibiusa sleeping in her bed with her is cut down in the DiC Dub. In the original Japanese translation Usagi also discovers that Chibiusa has wet the bed. This was likely to avoid criticism regarding toilet humour and bodily functions.
Trivia[]
- In the DiC English dub, during the major fight between the five Sailor Scouts and the five members of the Negamoon, the song She's Got the Power! is played.
- In the original, the song was Ai No Senshi (A Soldier's Love) was used during the fight between the Black Moon Clan and Sailor Senshi, which is the first time it was used in the series. It would later be used again during episode 102, as Usagi was driven to Tokyo Tower by Haruka and Michiru.
