"Labyrinth of Mirrors: Chibi Moon Captured" is the 36th episode of the fourth season of the original anime, and is the 163rd episode overall. It aired in Japan on February 10, 1996. The CWi English dub title for this episode is "The Dark Legend" and it aired in North America on November 13, 2000.
Summary[]
The other five Super Sailor Senshi go to help Super Sailor Chibi Moon, who has been captured by Queen Nehelenia as the evil Queen of Darkness desires to return to Helios' spirit and physical body. In order to stop them, Zirconia traps the five girls in a labyrinth of mirrors where each one must face her own dark side.
Plot[]
With Chibiusa/Super Sailor Chibi Moon captured by the Dead Moon Circus, while she soon located Helios' body, she is then subdued by Queen Nehelenia herself, who reveals that she loathed the Silver Millennium and the peace it endured under the leadership and sovereignty of Queen Serenity. To get revenge on Serenity, Nehelenia tried to attain the Golden Crystal, but because it saw her intentions as evil, it attacked her. In fury, Nehelenia captured Helios, but this resulted in Serenity punishing Nehelenia for her crimes with imprisoning her in a mirror, but during the solar eclipse some time ago, it allowed her to send her forces to Earth.
While Nehelenia deals with Chibi Moon, she has Zirconia deal with the other Senshi, trapping them in a labyrinth of mirrors to try and break their morale and surrender by having their reflections convince them to give up. However, just as Super Sailor Moon is about to fall for it, her memories and support of Mamoru and Chibiusa snap her out of it, and she breaks the mirrors with Moon Tiara Magic, allowing the other Scouts to then follow up with their own attacks to shatter the mirrors in their respective areas of the labyrinth, breaking Zirconia's spell, much to her fury.
Meanwhile, the Amazoness Quartet, bored with how things are right now, decide to ride Pegasus, and replace Chibi Moon with a doll decoy while bringing her to their room. As they try to ride Pegasus, including putting reigns on him, they discover he is just an illusion and not real, then try to grab the Golden Crystal, only for it, sensing their dark intentions, to ignite a fire to protect Pegasus and force the Quartet back. Sailor Chibi Moon recovers and, seeing Pegasus in trouble, braves the flames to help him, causing them to vanish once she destroys the reigns the Quartet put on him. After Chibi Moon speaks to the Quartet and begins to have them reconsider their allegiance to the Dead Moon Circus, Zirconia, furious with the Quartet's actions, traps them in another dimension via several mirrors, before having Chibi Moon subdued again, returned to where Nehelenia is trapped, and Pegasus put back in Chibi Moon's Golden Mirror.
As for the Quartet, they begin to realize that they are on the wrong side and consider defecting to join the Senshi.

- Sailor Moon performed Moon Tiara Action for the last time in the 90s anime. Although she did perform it in A Night for Just Us! Usagi's Pinch, it was not the actual attack of yellow energy. She had merely thrown a pizza while shouting "Moon Tiara Action".
